From my studies with Carolin Mees, Architect & Researcher @Parsons, the following journals highlight work during her course and my own research on community gardens, and an extensive look at the SNAP program and other food access initiatives specifically in NYC.
My final projects for this course included a community design contest for a garden in the South Bronx in which my redesign along with my partner Chef Tamarra Thomas were ultimately selected. In addition, my experience in UX allowed me to ideate a design for an app to bridge the gap for farmers & markets who support a local and regional food system and community members in need of access to more healthy and quality food options.
