I took photography back when I was pursuing a degree in Graphic & Web design. That was some years ago and at the time I uploaded some photos to Pexels, a stock photography site as a course assignment and since then my photos have garnered over 42 million views, and have been used by major brands such as Amazon, Buzzfeed, India Times and more.
Although I do accept donations from those who use my photos, it feels great to help entrepreneurs with an aspect of their branding and online presence, even if I don't get paid for it. I currently work as an E-commerce specialist at Square, and will never forget the time I was helping a business owner troubleshoot some issues they were having with their site, and saw they were using one of my photos to sell their products.
I hope to write a lot more soon, especially on Hip-Hop (my first love), and more food & travel essays. In the meantime, here are some samples of my writings featured on Travel Noire, "...a blogging platform featuring cultivated insights from a global community of black travelers"and 'Jam Sessions' my own column on Medium.
I've also written food policy briefs, after studying with Thomas Forster, a Food & Agriculture Policy expert during my time at the New School in the Food Studies BAAS program.
